The news regarding a mom who hoped for a clean play area for kids is on the web - Mom banned from McDonald. She is banned from several McDonald in her area according to the interview for exposing bacteria in McDonald's play area.
Let's begin the fun of discovering all the bacteria - from fastfood, restaurants, saloons, gym, bars, malls, shops, public bathrooms and everywhere. My apologies for being so sarcastic. I am concerned too. We start taking antibacterial cream with us wherever we go and we stop giving friendly hugs and handshakes for bacteria reasons. Does it really help or we just think it does?
Bacteria exists everywhere. I wonder if it's really an expose or it's just the reality? Lots of places, including our very own house has bacteria. We may not know where they hide until we clean an area to discover that we are living with bacteria. The air may contain bacteria as well and all we say is OH GROSS!
Is it to fear or is it to for our mind to decide? We tend to panic when we discover bacteria in places or food - something that is harmful according to what we believe. It is also normal that some people are affected immediately by bacteria but not all - especially those who have no clue of bacteria's existence ( I don't know about it and think nothing of it). Does bacteria really hurt us or our brain is making it a big deal?
I ask this question because a great number of people say - almost everybody ate food that fell on the floor when they were little and nothing happens. Now I wonder...if bacteria in McDonald's play area is really something to worry about. Although, I must admit that it is still best to see the play area clean for every little child to enjoy without parents worrying.
Yes, it happened before. I did worry when my little child came to me, that there was yucky vomit in one of the tubes in McDonald play area. My point is if it stays there and ignored - it will be step on over and over again, sticking to each child's foot, spreading it to several places little pieces at a time, until the whole play area will be just a place of gross vomit. Anyway, I told the staff about it and they were quick to attend to it, cleaning the area with the appropriate cleaning supplies. Knowing and seeing the vomit gone, it is a relieved to let the child play again without worries. But come to think of it, bacteria still lurks in the play area, remain unseen because the traffic is always there. Children come and go, each one touching here and there, each one coming from different homes and different understanding of how harmful bacteria can be deadly. Bacteria could be on the tables and benches, did I check on it? There might be some in me that I do not even pay attention...who knows?
McDonald is not exactly a healthy place to be especially for a child. Yes, they have a play area for children to enjoy and that is how McDonald attract customers. Maybe it is better to eat at home and prepare the food ourselves. That would save one from those harmful bacteria...perhaps or maybe it was alright if she only film one franchise - for awareness? Was it going too far for one purpose of awareness?
