Confession Scene
Confession is a way of humbling oneself by owning one's action especially when it is wrong and hurt others. It is very amazing to feel something special after a confession, it is like a burden lift from one's shoulder and have a new life, a new beginning once again. People confess in different ways and is always beneficial because it is like cleaning up one's body, mind and soul.
Here is a guide for those who want to do their confession with a priest.
You: Make the sign of the Cross
(In the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen)
Priest: Tell me your sins...
You: Bless me Father for I have sinned. These are my sins...( mention your sins to the priest..)
When you are done, say " These are all my sins, Father" and listen to the priest.
Priest: The priest listens to our sins and gives advice about ways to be better disciples of Jesus.
You : Say the Act of Contrition in front of the priest
Priest: Please listen carefully as this is the time the priest will tell you what to pray as penance..
Through the ministry of the church, may God give you pardon and peace. And I absolve you from the your sins, (make the sign of the cross) In the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
You: Say "Thank you, Father". Quietly get up and go to a bench, kneel down and say your prayers quietly before you leave the church.
