Some of the girls pink dirtbike helmets were really cute. I bought the AFX FX 86Y for my 4 year old daughter who likes to ride dirt bike with her Dad. She loved the flowers and cartoon character.
If you have a young girl you're buying a helmet for, go as cute as you like. Older girls and teens will prefer one of the pink/silver or pink/black color styles. After 12 years old they won't be growing as quickly so keep in mind that they will be wearing their helmet for a couple of years.
My daughter has had her pink motocross helmet since she was 12. She's now 15 and moving up to the women's helmet sizes, so I don't think it's unreasonable to expect your older girl to be wearing her pink motocross for two or three seasons

The easiest way I have found to keep these helmets clean is to wipe them down with a Mr Clean Magic Eraser.
