One Saturday morning, I woke up sick. At first, I woke up and told my mom that I was feeling so sick. Next, my mom took my temperature. The thermometer showed a really high temperature. Then, my mom made me a cup of tea. She added some honey to make it sweet. Suddenly, she surprised me with a hot bowl of soup. The tomatoes and vegetables was so tasty and delicious. Just then, she read my favorite book to me. I fell asleep listening to the story. Finally, I woke up feeling better. I didn't have a temperature. Afterwards, I felt so happy that my mom helped me when I was sick.
She remembered everything her mom did to her when sick and felt the love by actions. She knows the reason why her mom is doing these things for her. She knows the love of her mom for her, adding extra bowl of soup to her surprise. She felt the admiration of someone who takes time, reading a book to relax her. She can tell from her heart, her mom wants to make sure she will be okay. Those wonderful moments of being loved stays in the heart of a child until old age, I suppose. A simple writing by a child, remembering how wonderful a mother can be in times of illness. This writing is a reflection of a child's memory of sick day carved into a relationship with her mom, another day of bonding.
Would every child feel loved and belong when mothers take care of their children in a loving way? Indeed, the writing will tell you.
